Placement audition and practices to be held in the Keppel Dance Room

ELITE first practices - Monday – October 7, 2019 & Friday – October 11, 2019

All Monday Practices – 2:30 PM until 5:00 PM

All Friday Practices – 2:30 PM until 4:30 PM

ELITE Prep first practice – Wednesday – October 9, 2019

2:30 PM – 4:30 PM

You will be placed in the appropriate group based on the knowledge of the routines and how well they are executed. Smiles, energy, sharpness are used as our judging criteria.  Dance/drill requirements include the ability to perform splits, single turns, Russians (toe touches) and high kicks. We are looking for team members that are willing to put in the time to learn and perfect these skills.  Team dynamics play an important role in judging.  Please note the grade level requirement for each team.

Language Arts: Complete the 3 worksheets given in class on Run-On sentences, Spelling words, and Fragment sentences.
   Do the worksheet, "Compare and Contrast" the 2 articles we have read in class. You need to have two paragraphs.

Math: Test tomorrow on adding and subtracting decimals.

Social Studies (both): If you have your own crayons at home and would like to bring them-have them for Thursday.

Social Studies (both): Have a print out of your state bird and tree.

Math: Complete pages 39 and 40 (except 17).  There is a Unit 1 test on Wednesday, Sept 11.

Social Studies (both): For Monday, please now have a picture of your state tree and bird.


**TOMORROW**
Yea! we are on our field trip.  They students will be served lunch or either a hot dog or a hamburger. If your child has an food issues, please send them with food.

They should put on sunblock in the morning and may bring it with them if needed.

Water will be provided but your child may bring a water bottle.

We should be back by 3:30.  Please be here to pick up your child.


**Class Representative**
Sadly, I did not have any one sign up for this.  If I don't have a parent do this, I will not be able to have any class parties this year.

This Friday is our field trip.  We plan to be back by 3pm. Please make sure you are here to pick up your child. The kids do not need to bring a lunch

5th grade CAMP meeting.  Please come and listen to what they have to say.  This is a wonderful experience for the students.
